Microsoft Word is not only for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, it’s also possible to use this versatile software in several other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover making coloring pages that you can print out, ready to use, on your own personal home printer. The process is simple and fast, and the variety of options is almost limitless.

Step 1: Open a brand new blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: From the Insert tab for the Word ribbon, go through the Clip Art button.

Step 3: The Clip Art panel should certainly be visible about the right side in the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results needs to be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it will speed up your search time a little.

Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you wish to include in your quest. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked so that I can search as broad a variety as possible. Note here, you will definately get far more results if the computer is attached to the Internet because you will also have usage of all from the clip art provided by Office Online.

Step 5: Enter an explanation of what you wish to search for inside the Search box. Here, I’m just carrying out a general search for Christmas, however, you can narrow this down if you are only enthusiastic about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or some different, for instance.

Step 6: Select an image you want, and click on it. It will appear within the main section of your document. Resize the picture as needed either by dragging the borders of the picture to a brand new location or utilizing the resizing technique explained here.

If the style you’ve chosen is really a black and white outline, you’re done which enable it to print the coloring page now. However, in the event you selected a graphic with color, there exists a few more steps to go.

Step 7: With the picture selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools on the Word ribbon.

Step 8: Click around the down arrow close to Recolor to be expanded that menu, and judge the Grayscale option under Color Modes.

At this aspect, if you are very pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, it is possible to stop and print it. However, sometimes the image may still be considered a little too dark. You can lighten it inside the following step.

Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness in your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to boost the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend for the image you’re working together with and your individual personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is fully gone and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images on the same page. For some extra fun, use the images on cardstock paper so that your hand-colored drawings may be sent out as holiday handmade cards, or use labels to ensure your kids can color their unique stickers.
