It only takes moments to make a coloring page with any theme that suits you in Microsoft Word , as there are a wealth of images from which to choose. These instructions will walk you through the procedure.

Microsoft Word is not only for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, it’s also possible to use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your personal coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover making coloring pages that you could print out, premade, on your own personal home printer. The process is easy and quick, and also the variety of options is nearly limitless.

Step 1: Open a fresh blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: From the Insert tab on the Word ribbon, go through the Clip Art button.

Step 3: The Clip Art panel should be visible on the right side from the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results must be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it will speed up your search time a little.

Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you need to include in your quest. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked in order that I can search as broad an assortment as possible. Note here, you will definately get far more results if your computer is connected to the Internet as you will also have access to all of the clip art available from Office Online.

Step 5: Enter a description of what you need to search for inside the Search box. Here, I’m just conducting a general search for Christmas, but you can narrow this down if you’re only enthusiastic about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or anything else, for instance.

Step 6: Select an image you prefer, and click on it. It will appear within the main section of your document. Resize the picture as needed either by dragging the borders with the picture to a fresh location or utilizing the resizing technique explained here.

If the image you’ve chosen is really a black and white outline, you’re done and may print the coloring page now. However, in the event you selected a graphic with color, we have a few more steps to visit.

Step 7: With the image selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools around the Word ribbon.

Step 8: Click for the down arrow close to Recolor to be expanded that menu, and choose the Grayscale option under Color Modes.

At now, should you are happy with the appearance of your coloring page, you can stop and print it. However, sometimes the style may still be a little dark colored. You can lighten it inside the following step.

Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness for a satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to raise the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend on the image you’re working with and your own personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is fully gone and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images on the same page. For some extra fun, listing the images on cardstock paper so that your hand-colored drawings could be sent out as holiday greeting cards, or use labels to ensure your kids can color their own stickers.
