It only takes moments to produce a coloring page with any theme you prefer in Microsoft Word , and there is a wealth of images from which to choose. These instructions will walk you through the task.
Microsoft Word it not just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you can also use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover steps to make coloring pages that you can print out, premade, on your personal home printer. The process is quick and easy, and the variety of options is practically limitless.
Step 1: Open a fresh blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab for the Word ribbon, click the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should be visible about the right side with the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results ought to be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’ll speed up your pursuit time a lttle bit.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you want to include in your research. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure I can search as broad an array as possible. Note here, you’ll get far more results if your computer is coupled to the Internet because you will also have entry to all in the clip art provided by Office Online.
Step 5: Enter a description of what you need to search for within the Search box. Here, I’m just carrying out a general hunt for Christmas, however, you can narrow this down if you are only thinking about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or another type, for instance.
Step 6: Select an image you like, and click on it. It will appear inside main portion of your document. Resize the look as needed either by dragging the borders from the picture to a new location or by using the resizing technique explained here.
If the style you’ve chosen is really a black and white outline, you’re done and may print the coloring page now. However, if you selected a graphic with color, you will find there’s few more steps to look.
Step 7: With the style selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools for the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click on the down arrow next to Recolor to be expanded that menu, and choose the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At now, should you are pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you are able to stop and print it. However, sometimes the look may still be considered a little dark colored. You can lighten it inside the following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness in your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to boost the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend about the image you’re working together with and your own personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is completed and ready to print. If you want a a bit more variety, try adding several images to the same page. For some extra fun, print out the images on cardstock paper to ensure that your hand-colored drawings could be sent out as holiday handmade cards, or use labels to ensure that your kids can color their unique stickers.
