How to Make Printable Coloring Pages in Microsoft Word
It only takes moments to generate a coloring page with any theme that suits you in Microsoft Word , then there is a wealth of images to choose from. These instructions will walk you through the process.
Microsoft Word it not just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you can also use this versatile software in a number of other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover steps to make coloring pages that you could print out, pre-made, on your individual home printer. The process is simple and fast, and the variety of options is almost limitless.
Step 1: Open a brand new blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab around the Word ribbon, click the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should certainly be visible about the right side with the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results needs to be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’ll speed up your quest time somewhat.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you wish to include in your search. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure I can search as broad a range as possible. Note here, you will get far more results if your computer is attached to the Internet because you will also have entry to all with the clip art which is available from Office Online.
Step 5: Enter a description of what you want to search for within the Search box. Here, I’m just carrying out a general hunt for Christmas, however, you can narrow this down if you are only interested in images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or another type, for example.
Step 6: Select an image you prefer, and click on it. It will appear within the main section of your document. Resize the style as needed either by dragging the borders of the picture to a whole new location or utilizing the resizing technique explained here.
If the look you’ve chosen is often a black and white outline, you’re done and can print the coloring page now. However, if you selected a graphic with color, we have a few more steps to look.
Step 7: With the look selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools for the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click for the down arrow next to Recolor to grow that menu, and select the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At this point, should you are very pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you’ll be able to stop and print it. However, sometimes the picture may still be a little dark colored. You can lighten it inside the following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness for a satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to boost the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend about the image you’re working together with and your personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is finished and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images to the same page. For some extra fun, listing the images on cardstock paper so that your hand-colored drawings may be sent out as holiday cards, or use labels so that your kids can color their own stickers.
