It only takes moments to create a coloring page with any theme you prefer in Microsoft Word , and there’s a wealth of images out there. These instructions will walk you through the process.
Microsoft Word isn’t just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you may also use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your individual coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover making coloring pages that you could print out, pre-made, on your own home printer. The process is easy and quick, and also the variety of options is nearly limitless.
Step 1: Open a brand new blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab about the Word ribbon, click on the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should certainly be visible around the right side from the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results must be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’s going to speed up your quest time a bit.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you would like to include in your pursuit. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure that I can search as broad an assortment as possible. Note here, you’re going to get far more results if the computer is coupled to the Internet since you will also have use of all with the clip art offered by Office Online.
Step 5: Enter some of what you would like to search for inside Search box. Here, I’m just carrying out a general seek out Christmas, but you can narrow this down should you be only thinking about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or some different, for instance.
Step 6: Select an image you like, and click on it. It will appear inside main part of your document. Resize the style as needed either by dragging the borders of the picture to a brand new location or with the resizing technique explained here.
If the image you’ve chosen is a black and white outline, you’re done and may print the coloring page now. However, should you selected a graphic with color, we have a few more steps to go.
Step 7: With the look selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools on the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click for the down arrow beside Recolor to expand that menu, and choose the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At this point, in the event you are very pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you can stop and print it. However, sometimes the image may still certainly be a little too dark. You can lighten it inside the following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness in your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to boost the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend for the image you’re working with and your own personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is fully gone and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images for the same page. For some extra fun, print the images on cardstock paper so that your hand-colored drawings might be sent out as holiday cards, or use labels so that your kids can color their own stickers.
