How to Make Printable Coloring Pages in Microsoft Word
It only takes moments to produce a coloring page with any theme that suits you in Microsoft Word , then there is a wealth of images to choose from. These instructions will walk you through the method.
Microsoft Word it not just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you may also use this versatile software in a number of other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover steps to make coloring pages you could print out, ready to use, on your own personal home printer. The process is easy and quick, and also the variety of options is practically limitless.
Step 1: Open a whole new blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab about the Word ribbon, go through the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should easily be visible about the right side with the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results must be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it is going to speed up your research time a little.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you need to include in your research. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked in order that I can search as broad a variety as possible. Note here, you’re going to get far more results if your computer is coupled to the Internet as you will also have use of all of the clip art provided by Office Online.
Step 5: Enter an account of what you need to search for in the Search box. Here, I’m just carrying out a general look for Christmas, however, you can narrow this down should you be only considering images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or another type, as an example.
Step 6: Select an image that suits you, and click on it. It will appear inside the main portion of your document. Resize the style as needed either by dragging the borders with the picture to a whole new location or using the resizing technique explained here.
If the look you’ve chosen is really a black and white outline, you’re done and can print the coloring page now. However, in case you selected a graphic with color, there exists a few more steps to visit.
Step 7: With the image selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools for the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click for the down arrow beside Recolor to be expanded that menu, and judge the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At now, in the event you are happy with the appearance of your coloring page, you are able to stop and print it. However, sometimes the image may still be described as a little too dark. You can lighten it inside the following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness in your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to increase the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend for the image you’re working together with and your own personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is completed and ready to print. If you want a a bit more variety, try adding several images to the same page. For some extra fun, print the images on cardstock paper to ensure that your hand-colored drawings might be sent out as holiday cards, or use labels so that your kids can color their very own stickers.
