Microsoft Word is not only for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you can also use this versatile software in a number of other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover making coloring pages that you could print out, available, on your individual home printer. The process is fast and simple, and the variety of options is actually limitless.

Step 1: Open a whole new blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: From the Insert tab about the Word ribbon, click the Clip Art button.

Step 3: The Clip Art panel should now be visible on the right side from the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results ought to be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it is going to speed up your search time a lttle bit.

Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you wish to include in your search. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure that I can search as broad a range as possible. Note here, you will get far more results if your computer is coupled to the Internet as you will also have entry to all with the clip art available from Office Online.

Step 5: Enter an account of what you want to search for inside the Search box. Here, I’m just doing a general seek out Christmas, however you can narrow this down in case you are only thinking about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or anything else, as an example.

Step 6: Select an image you want, and click on it. It will appear within the main part of your document. Resize the image as needed either by dragging the borders of the picture to a fresh location or by using the resizing technique explained here.

If the style you’ve chosen is really a black and white outline, you’re done which enable it to print the coloring page now. However, in case you selected a graphic with color, there exists a few more steps to travel.

Step 7: With the look selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools about the Word ribbon.

Step 8: Click for the down arrow close to Recolor to expand that menu, and select the Grayscale option under Color Modes.

At now, if you are very pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you can stop and print it. However, sometimes the style may still be a little dark colored. You can lighten it within the following step.

Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness for your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to improve the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend on the image you’re working with and your own personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is completed and ready to print. If you want a little more variety, try adding several images towards the same page. For some extra fun, listing the images on cardstock paper in order that your hand-colored drawings could be sent out as holiday handmade cards, or use labels in order that your kids can color their very own stickers.
