How to Make Printable Coloring Pages in Microsoft Word
It only takes moments to generate a coloring page with any theme you want in Microsoft Word , as there are a wealth of images to choose from. These instructions will walk you through the procedure.
Microsoft Word isn’t just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you may also use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your individual coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover learning to make coloring pages that you could print out, pre-made, on your own personal home printer. The process is quick and easy, and also the variety of options is practically limitless.
Step 1: Open a whole new blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab on the Word ribbon, go through the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should easily be visible around the right side of the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results should be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’s going to speed up your quest time a bit.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you need to include in your research. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure I can search as broad an array as possible. Note here, you’ll get far more results in case your computer is connected to the Internet as you will also have use of all in the clip art which is available from Office Online.
Step 5: Enter some of what you want to search for inside Search box. Here, I’m just performing a general look for Christmas, however you can narrow this down in case you are only thinking about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or some different, for example.
Step 6: Select an image you like, and click on it. It will appear within the main section of your document. Resize the image as needed either by dragging the borders from the picture to a new location or using the resizing technique explained here.
If the picture you’ve chosen is often a black and white outline, you’re done and will print the coloring page now. However, in case you selected a graphic with color, you will find there’s few more steps to visit.
Step 7: With the look selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools around the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click about the down arrow close to Recolor to flourish that menu, and judge the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At this aspect, should you are pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you can stop and print it. However, sometimes the look may still be considered a little dark colored. You can lighten it within the following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness for a satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to boost the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend around the image you’re working with and your personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page ends and ready to print. If you want a somewhat more variety, try adding several images on the same page. For some extra fun, use the images on cardstock paper to ensure your hand-colored drawings can be sent out as holiday cards, or use labels to ensure your kids can color their own stickers.
