How to Make Printable Coloring Pages in Microsoft Word
It only takes moments to produce a coloring page with any theme you like in Microsoft Word , and there is a wealth of images to select from. These instructions will walk you through the method.
Microsoft Word isn’t just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you may also use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover steps to make coloring pages that one could print out, available, on your own personal home printer. The process is easy and quick, as well as the variety of options is actually limitless.
Step 1: Open a fresh blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab for the Word ribbon, go through the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should certainly be visible on the right side in the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results should be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’ll speed up your pursuit time a little.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you wish to include in your search. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked in order that I can search as broad an assortment as possible. Note here, you will definately get far more results in case your computer is connected to the Internet as you will also have usage of all of the clip art offered by Office Online.
Step 5: Enter an explanation of what you would like to search for inside Search box. Here, I’m just doing a general hunt for Christmas, nevertheless, you can narrow this down should you be only interested in images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or some different, for that matter.
Step 6: Select an image you like, and click on it. It will appear in the main part of your document. Resize the image as needed either by dragging the borders of the picture to a new location or with the resizing technique explained here.
If the style you’ve chosen is often a black and white outline, you’re done and will print the coloring page now. However, if you selected a graphic with color, we have a few more steps to look.
Step 7: With the picture selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools for the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click on the down arrow close to Recolor to be expanded that menu, and choose the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At this point, in case you are pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, it is possible to stop and print it. However, sometimes the look may still be considered a little too dark. You can lighten it within the following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness for your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to increase the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend on the image you’re dealing with and your own personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is fully gone and ready to print. If you want a little more variety, try adding several images towards the same page. For some extra fun, listing the images on cardstock paper so that your hand-colored drawings might be sent out as holiday handmade cards, or use labels so that your kids can color their very own stickers.
