It only takes moments to create a coloring page with any theme you want in Microsoft Word , and there is a wealth of images to choose from. These instructions will walk you through the process.

Microsoft Word it not just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you can also use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your own coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover how to make coloring pages you could print out, pre-made, on your personal home printer. The process is fast and simple, as well as the variety of options is practically limitless.

Step 1: Open a fresh blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: From the Insert tab around the Word ribbon, click the Clip Art button.

Step 3: The Clip Art panel should certainly be visible for the right side with the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results should be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it is going to speed up your search time a bit.

Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you would like to include in your search. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked in order that I can search as broad a range as possible. Note here, you will definately get far more results in case your computer is coupled to the Internet when you will also have entry to all with the clip art provided by Office Online.

Step 5: Enter an account of what you need to search for inside the Search box. Here, I’m just conducting a general look for Christmas, however you can narrow this down should you be only interested in images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or some different, for example.

Step 6: Select an image that suits you, and click on it. It will appear within the main part of your document. Resize the picture as needed either by dragging the borders of the picture to a whole new location or using the resizing technique explained here.

If the image you’ve chosen is really a black and white outline, you’re done which enable it to print the coloring page now. However, if you selected a graphic with color, there exists a few more steps to visit.

Step 7: With the image selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools around the Word ribbon.

Step 8: Click around the down arrow next to Recolor to be expanded that menu, and select the Grayscale option under Color Modes.

At this aspect, in case you are pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you are able to stop and print it. However, sometimes the look may still be a little too dark. You can lighten it inside the following step.

Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness for a satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to improve the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend about the image you’re working together with and your own personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is fully gone and ready to print. If you want a somewhat more variety, try adding several images towards the same page. For some extra fun, use the images on cardstock paper to ensure your hand-colored drawings can be sent out as holiday homemade cards, or use labels to ensure that your kids can color their particular stickers.
