Microsoft Word isn’t only for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you may also use this versatile software in a lot of other ways, including making your personal coloring pages. The process is quick and easy, as well as the variety of options is practically limitless.

Step 1: Open a whole new blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: From the Insert tab for the Word ribbon, go through the Clip Art button.

Step 3: The Clip Art panel should now be visible around the right side of the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results needs to be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’ll speed up your pursuit time a lttle bit.

Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you would like to include in your quest. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure I can search as broad an array as possible. Note here, you will definately get far more results in case your computer is connected to the Internet as you will also have access to all of the clip art available from Office Online.

Step 5: Enter some of what you need to search for within the Search box. Here, I’m just doing a general look for Christmas, however, you can narrow this down if you’re only enthusiastic about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or another type, for example.

Step 6: Select an image you prefer, and click on it. It will appear in the main part of your document. Resize the style as needed either by dragging the borders from the picture to a fresh location or by using the resizing technique explained here.

If the style you’ve chosen can be a black and white outline, you’re done which enable it to print the coloring page now. However, should you selected a graphic with color, we have a few more steps to go.

Step 7: With the style selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools on the Word ribbon.

Step 8: Click about the down arrow beside Recolor to be expanded that menu, and choose the Grayscale option under Color Modes.

At this point, in the event you are happy with the appearance of your coloring page, you are able to stop and print it. However, sometimes the picture may still be a little too dark. You can lighten it in the following step.

Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness to your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to improve the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend for the image you’re utilizing and your personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is fully gone and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images to the same page. For some extra fun, print out the images on cardstock paper in order that your hand-colored drawings may be sent out as holiday cards, or use labels to ensure that your kids can color their own stickers.
