Microsoft Word isn’t just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you can even use this versatile software in many other ways, including making your individual coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover steps to make coloring pages that you can print out, available, on your own home printer. The process is quick and easy, along with the variety of options is nearly limitless.

Step 1: Open a new blank document in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: From the Insert tab for the Word ribbon, click on the Clip Art button.

Step 3: The Clip Art panel should be visible for the right side with the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results must be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’s going to speed up your research time a bit.

Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you would like to include in your quest. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked to ensure I can search as broad a range as possible. Note here, you’ll get far more results in case your computer is attached to the Internet since you will also have entry to all from the clip art offered by Office Online.

Step 5: Enter an explanation of what you would like to search for inside Search box. Here, I’m just conducting a general seek out Christmas, but you can narrow this down in case you are only thinking about images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or anything else, for instance.

Step 6: Select an image that suits you, and click on it. It will appear inside the main a part of your document. Resize the look as needed either by dragging the borders with the picture to a brand new location or using the resizing technique explained here.

If the picture you’ve chosen is often a black and white outline, you’re done which enable it to print the coloring page now. However, should you selected a graphic with color, there exists a few more steps to go.

Step 7: With the image selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools about the Word ribbon.

Step 8: Click for the down arrow next to Recolor to grow that menu, and select the Grayscale option under Color Modes.

At this aspect, in case you are very pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you are able to stop and print it. However, sometimes the look may still be a little too dark. You can lighten it inside the following step.

Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness in your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to raise the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend around the image you’re dealing with and your personal personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is completed and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images to the same page. For some extra fun, print the images on cardstock paper in order that your hand-colored drawings may be sent out as holiday handmade cards, or use labels so that your kids can color their unique stickers.
