How to Make Printable Coloring Pages in Microsoft Word
It only takes moments to generate a coloring page with any theme you prefer in Microsoft Word , then there is a wealth of images from which to choose. These instructions will walk you through the task.
Microsoft Word isn’t just for the office anymore. In addition to writing letters and research reports, you can even use this versatile software in a lot of other ways, including making your personal coloring pages. In the following steps, we’ll cover how to make coloring pages that one could print out, available, on your own personal home printer. The process is fast and simple, along with the variety of options is practically limitless.
Step 1: Open a brand new blank document in Microsoft Word.
Step 2: From the Insert tab for the Word ribbon, click on the Clip Art button.
Step 3: The Clip Art panel should certainly be visible on the right side of the application. First, expand the dropdown box under Results must be and uncheck everything but Clip Art. Although this step isn’t completely necessary, it’s going to speed up your quest time a lttle bit.
Step 4: Next, expand the Search in dropdown list and select which locations you would like to include in your search. In this example, I am leaving Everything checked so that I can search as broad a range as possible. Note here, you will definately get far more results if the computer is connected to the Internet as you will also have use of all from the clip art available from Office Online.
Step 5: Enter a description of what you wish to search for within the Search box. Here, I’m just doing a general search for Christmas, however, you can narrow this down if you’re only interested in images of reindeer, Christmas trees, or another type, for instance.
Step 6: Select an image you like, and click on it. It will appear inside main portion of your document. Resize the image as needed either by dragging the borders with the picture to a new location or with the resizing technique explained here.
If the image you’ve chosen can be a black and white outline, you’re done which enable it to print the coloring page now. However, in case you selected a graphic with color, there exists a few more steps to travel.
Step 7: With the picture selected, open the Format tab under Picture Tools for the Word ribbon.
Step 8: Click around the down arrow close to Recolor to grow that menu, and judge the Grayscale option under Color Modes.
At now, in the event you are pleased with the appearance of your coloring page, you can stop and print it. However, sometimes the image may still be described as a little too dark. You can lighten it inside following step.
Step 9: Expand the Brightness menu, and adjust the brightness to your satisfaction. In this particular example, I chose to raise the brightness by 30%. The amount you choose will depend on the image you’re utilizing and your individual personal preferences.
Now, the coloring page is completed and ready to print. If you want a bit more variety, try adding several images for the same page. For some extra fun, use the images on cardstock paper in order that your hand-colored drawings may be sent out as holiday handmade cards, or use labels so that your kids can color their own stickers.
